Show jumping
The wet weather seemed a far cry from the hot and sunny conditions that show jumping day bought!
We arrived at the end of the trot up, having planned to see a bit of it but the cross country had caused so many problems there weren't too many going on to show jump.
As we had general admission tickets, we parked ourselves in a good spot and refused to move making sure we had front row seats for the 4*.
The show jumping was intense, especially the 4*! Everyone watching was jumping every fence with the riders. There were very few clear rounds and barley a rail between the top 5. We were on the edge of our seats for every round, and it was awesome when the top 3 riders had clear rounds to maintain their positions. Clarke Johnston from New Zealand took out the win. It was amazing to watch, he was so deserving!
