Henry

The new face at our place! Well less new, he has been with us for a month.

Henry is a 3 year old off the track thoroughbred. He raced twice and did a few trials, but was very, very slow.

I saw his ad on facebook and after meeting him and having a ride I felt excited about getting a baby horse.

First ride at home

So far he has been amazing. When we picked him up he had never been on a straight load float. He walked straight on and stood like a rock. He was a bit confused unloading backwards but listened well.

His first ride at home was calm and easy, he hacks out in the bush with no stress, walks and trots over poles with no drama and is generally very calm and easy going. I think he is easier than Coolie!

Henry has had a lesson at our coaches place. He was fantastic and didn't put a foot wrong.

First lesson

Last night for the first time Henry stood to be mounted and waited to be asked to walk, and he got both of his canter leads the first time.

He has been so much fun and I am very excited to see where this journey takes us!
