Just like that
After 2x 17 hour flights, 4000km in the car, walking 400km, climbing 5 mountains, visiting 3 countries, and riding in Wales and Scotland, we are home.
We had an amazing time saw so many cool things and some really beautiful places. We hiked, canoed, ziplined, saw snow, enjoyed the sun, saw awesome flowers, saw deer, birds, red squirrels, a field mouse and many, many other things. It was incredible.
The 17 hours straight is a killer but after we got home, showered, put a load of washing on and I was right out to see the horses.
After 4 weeks away they were both filthy and so hairy, a sure sign winter is on the way. The days are so much shorter too which is particularly noticeable after the UK's lengthening days.
Henry was the lucky horse to get the first ride and he wasn't convinced his holiday should be over. He was however very well behaved but his bad habits were highlighted to me. Nothing major but it was good to note it. We kept it short but he was so sweaty at the end!
He was even better today and things started clicking back into place for both of us. He had a bath too so now he just needs clipping.
Coolie was not quite so laid back about getting back into it. In fact he was full of it, although he felt incredible. And not too fat luckily, and he got a bath as well.
Just like that we are home and it almost feel like we never went away!
